Whatever they’ve tried to put together here…it failed. CNN posted this image of Mitt Romney recently showing a blurry selection on the bow of his tie.

Not a disaster. Easy to see that it is a microphone, out of focus, in the foreground.
its in his pocket. I thought it was a cigerette.
I disagree. Unless the microphone is coming out of the top corner of his jacket.
Depth of field makes the mic blurry, and less noticeable against the dark jacket. Not a PSD, just confusing because of the DoF and cropping.
